​​AEC’s strength lies in its diverse and loyal membership base. You will join members from every sector of higher education, including four-year and two-year, public and private colleges and universities. Of our over 1,700 members, more than 75 percent have been AEC members for more than 10 years.

Four-Year Colleges and Universities
   

Eligibility​​

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​We welcome public and private degree-granting colleges and universities based in the United States and its territories that are accredited by a select number of agencies recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Dues​​​

We determine annual member dues based on the size of your institution. We obtain full-time enrollment and general expenses data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) in order to calculate the annual amount.

Two-Year Colleges and Universities

Dues​​​

International colleges and universities pay annual dues of US $974.

AEC institutional rates are based on full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment and general expenditure. This information is downloaded from the U.S. Department of Education’s Integrated​ Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). All system offices, associations, and branches are billed at a fixed rate.
